Our History

Mick’s grandfather John Francis Masterson was a barber in county Leitrim in the 40s and 50s and started a tradition that was to be continued by his son Michael Masterson. Michael Masterson has a barber shop in Carrick on Shannon where Mick served as his apprentice through the 80s.

After working with his uncle and with a number of other barbers, Mick opened Mick’s of Wicklow in 2002 in a premises on the Lower Mall. We moved to the present-day premises in 2007.

We look forward to the future and it’s opportunities.
